Say yes to the Dress!

Well another BIG part of Wedding Planning is ALL done!! I went Dress Shopping in Appleton at David’s Bridal Monday June 7th with My Mom, Tanna (Gil’s Mom), My Maid of Honor (Chels), Matron of Honor Katie, and 2 of my Bridesmaids ( Kara, and Tara), My mom’s friend Lori came and Katie’s Mom Tina was there too.. I was WAY nervous about going, but so excited about it too.. Once we got there it finally sank in that we were there and it was gonna be ALL about me and that I was actually dress shopping.. They were asking me some questions and I was shaking and just so nervous, then I had to write information down and I wasn’t sure I was gonna be able to.. Ha. But I did it and after the frist couple of dress were on, I was starting to get over the nervousness and acting normal.. I was so nervous about bringing everyone that came, but It turned out way better than I thought.. The lady that helped me out was so nice and helpful even if I wasn’t sure what I wanted… she made the experience such a fun time!! I wish I could sit here and blog about the WHOLE experience, but it'd take forever and be too Long, so this is just of it.. Well now the question you are ALL waiting for Did I find my DRESS?? YES! I found the dress and EVERYTHING that goes along with it and I’m soo Excited.. Unfortunately I am unable to post pictures of the experience as I can’t show Gil so you will just have to come to the Wedding to see what my dress looks like!!

Not only did we find the MY DRESS, but we found the dress for my Maid of Honors and the Bridesmaids.. After having them try a few on and look for dresses I found the perfect dress for them to wear, so it was a VERY productive day if I may say so myself and I am WAY excited!!

Save the Dates

Our Save the Dates are Finally done and mailed out!! My mom and I mailed them out yesterday afternoon.. Boy was it a LONG process, but it was ALL worth it in the End they turned out GREAT!!! So excited for everyone to recieve theirs..

Gil and I tried doing some Save the Date stuff one night and we were at it for about 5 hours.. Then I sent it to my sister and she said they were boring, so she copied this one that we were trying to copy online and whipped it up in like 30 mins.. Then she sent me a couple more to look at, so needless to say We ended up using her bright ideas for the Save the Dates..

Wedding Update

Well here it is our 1st update of our wedding planning.. We have decided on a date of December 31,2010. Yes I know only like 7 months away, but we are doing good so far. We have the Church booked already and next week we will have the reception hall book, so 2 of the main things are book already, so doing good so far I think.. Ha.. We have decided on 3 colors not really sure what to call them yet, but a Dark pink, kinda like an Auqa teal color and a brown... Ha..

I wanted to find a creative way to ask our friends and family that we wanted to be in our wedding with us, I thought we could just send out cards, but my mom found this idea online of getting a puzzle and decorated it, then sending it out to them and having them put it together to find out what we wanted them to be in our wedding.. So we went to Michael's and found the puzzles and decorating them. Gil didn't really care to do it too much, but his turned out the best I must say.. was a little more creative then me, but still was fun.. We sent those out the other day..





So when we were looking online how to ask our wedding party to be in our wedding I ran across this website www.greetingcarduniverse.com/shopping/cb.asp?cid=23 and it has cards to send for Everyone you can imagaine.. So I got some of the Poems or sayings and we added them to the back of our puzzles.. I picked ones that meant something to me, and showed him where he can find his, and he picked his out..

The start of something new

Welcome to our Wedding Blog.. I thought this would be an easier way to update everyone with what is going on and how the planning is coming along.. Just a warning that I've never really blogged before, so bear with me as I learn and figure out what I'm doing.. It will be a learning process for all of us. Ha..

For everyone who wants to know about the Proposal here's what happened.. It happened 2 weeks ago today Saturday May 1st. We drove up to Copper Falls that morning, cuz I've never been there and he wanted to take me.. We took some food with us, so we could have a little picnic while we were there.. so we drove like 3 1/2ish hours got there and set up our food under the shelter. Then we went and walked the trails and just enjoyed being there with each other and God's creation.. We finally got to this one water fall and he had said he wanted to try to put the camera somewhere so we can take a picture
of us by the waterfall, so I said ok, took us a while to find the right spot, then he asked how to get the camera to take 10 pictures cuz we had it set to take 2, I told him 2 was fine, well not realizing that he changed it to 10 the camera is taking pictures,the next thing I know after it takes what I thought was 2 pictures I look over and there he was on his knee with the ring..
I was kinda busy wondering why the camera was taking a ton of pictures, so in my pictures I'm not looking at him at all. Ha.. I wanted soo bad to say "are you serious", cuz I totally wasn't expecting it at all.. I had just told him the night before, that I wasn't gonna get my hopes up for it to happen sometime before my bday cuz he said it would, but I didn't wanna get hopes up and then it not happen, cuz I knew he had school and stuff to pay for and just wanted him to know that I wasn't gonna expect
it to happen cuz at that time my birthday was then like a month away, didn't want him to feel like he had to rush to get a ring and whatnot, little did I know he already had the ring and was planning on proposing that next day! Kinda caught me off guard a bit.. Ha.. Now to plan the wedding!
